The Energetics Lab of the Northern Michigan University is seeking an MS/Master’s student interested in studying “SEASONAL CHANGES OF THE CARDIAC PROTEOME AND HEART FUNCTION DURING WINTER HIBERNATION starting fall 2026
The work is a collaboration between Dr Sylvain GIROUD – Assistant Professor at Northern Michigan University and Dr Fabrice BERTILE – Researcher CNRS. Strasbourg (France).
This study aims to study the seasonal changes in cardiac proteome and cardiac function of small hibernating species during its winter hibernation season.
Qualification for the Northern Michigan University
It is necessary one:
Must have passed courses in statistics, are familiar with R statistical programming software.
Must have a strong theoretical and practical foundation in Animal & Cellular/Molecular Physiology.
Must have learn how to use data analysis software.
